Successful Home Business Ideas - More Ways To Profit Quickly

By David Ogden

To operate a successful home business of your own you have to constantly be thinking of more ways to be profitable. In this article we will talk about a few ideas that can help you or home business being more successful.

First of all, if you”re not utilizing a blog you”re missing out on an excellent opportunity to make more money online. Regardless of the type of home business that you have, you can make more money almost instantly by adding a blog to it.

The fastest way to make money with your blog is to sell pay per click ads on it. Many people think of pay per click advertising as something they have to buy, when in reality they should be thinking about ways they can use it to increase their bottom line.

A very fast way to do this is to start a blog with blogger.com, and then join the Google Adsense program. As an affiliate for Google, you will have access to a program that pays you very well for driving traffic to their advertisers.

To place a Google ad on your blogger.com blog all you do is pick the size of your ad and click a couple of buttons. Google will match the advertisers to the theme of your blog and they”ll even blend the ads directly into the content of your page.

For example if you have a home business that sells products relating to cars, every time you write an article about cars advertisers that are promoting these products will come up on your blog page. Every time somebody clicks on one of these ads you earn a small commission.

You do not even have to limit yourself to Google Adsense if you don”t want to. Yahoo MSN, 7search and many others also offer PPC affiliate programs.

Another thing to keep in mind is that everybody who visits your home business website will not join you. Therefore you want to get as many positive responses out of every visitor as you possibly can.

Another thing you should be doing is collecting names and email addresses and then following up with your prospects in the future. This allows you to add email marketing to your home business in a way that is non-threatening to your prospects.

In summary what you want to do is become more successful in your home business by thinking like a business person. Utilizing pay per click advertising and email marketing are two successful home business ideas that you can do to increase your bottom line.

Is Google Adsense The Easiest Way To Make Money Online?

By Matthew Meyer

For the last couple of months, Google Adsense has dominated forums, discussions and newsletters all over the Internet. Already, there are tales of fabulous riches to be made and millions made by those who are just working from home. It seems that Google Adsense have already dominated the internet marketing business and is now considered the easiest way to making money online.

The key to success with Adsense is the placing of ads on pages that are receiving high traffic for high demand keywords. The higher the cost-per-click to the advertiser, the more you will receive per click from your site. Obviously, it does not pay to target low cost-per-click keywords and place them on pages that do not receive hits.

With all the people getting online and clicking away everyday, it is no wonder why Google Adsense has become an instant hit.

For some who are just new to this market, it would be a blow to their pride knowing that their homepage is buried somewhere in the little ads promoting other people’’s services. But then, when they get the idea that they are actually earning more money that way, all doubts and skepticism is laid to rest.

There are two major, and clever, factors that some successful webmaster and publishers are learning to blend together in order to make money easier using Adsense.

1. Targeting high traffic pages on your website. If you check on your logs, you will discover that many of your visitors are taking advantage of the free affiliate marketing resources and ebooks that you are offering on your site. In simple words, your ads are working effectively and are generating more clicks. It also means more money for you.

2. Placing Adsense links on pages that are producing little, or better yet, no profit. By placing Adsense on a free resources page, you will reduce the amount of potential customers being lost to other sites. Tricky, but effective nonetheless.

When learned to work effectively, these two factors are actually a good source of producing a minimal amount of revenue from a high traffic page. Many people are using this strategy to pick up some extra and cash with Adsense. This is also especially rewarding to informational sites that focus their efforts on delivering powerful affiliate link free content to their visitors. Now they can gain a monetary return on their services.

With the many techniques that people are now learning on how to make the easiest money by their Adsense, it is not surprising that Google is trying everything to update and polish their Adsense in order to maintain their good image.

The possibility of adding is 2nd tier in Adsense is not impossible. With all the people spending more time in their Adsense now and still more getting into this line of marketing, there is no doubt about the many new improvements yet to be made. Imagine the smiles on the faces of the webmasters and publishers all around the world if ever they sign up for sub-affiliates and double or even triple the amount that they are already earning.
The one particularly handy money-making feature that is available with Adsense now is the ability to filter out up to 200 urls. These gives webmasters the option to block out low value offers from their pages as well as competitors to their websites. Talk about taking only those that are advantageous and discarding the ones that seem useless.

With Google Adsense, the possibilities are limitless. Yet there is also the possibility of someone taking advantage of the easy money process that this internet marketing is doing. If you think more about it, these negative factors may force Google to break down and thrash Adsense in the process. If that happens, people would have to go back to the old ways of internet marketing that does not make money online as easy as Adsense.

For now, however, Google Adsense is here to stay. As long as there are people wanting to earn some easy cash online just using their talents, the future ahead is looking good. Besides with all the strict guidelines that Google is enforcing over Adsense, it will take awhile for the Adsense privileges to be spammed and even terminated.

Earning Money with Adsense: Getting Started

By Derek Wood

How can you add to your website’’s earning potential?

It all starts when you realize that you can earn income by properly displaying Adsense ads on your pages. While most people are already aware of what Adsense is, more and more people are beginning to fully understand that a good amount of money can be generated from this revenue source.

First, let’’s consider some basic principles. The Math. If you get anywhere from a few cents to a couple of dollar per click, then the more clicks the more money. That is Simple enough. Now the part many people forget. The more pages you have, the more pages people have access to click on, the more money. Try multiplying your per pages calculated amount by the number of pages you have to get a rough idea of the true potential of Adsense.

Google Adsense has become a relatively fast and easy method that website developers can use to offset costs, while providing ads that are relevant to their websites content. These ads are often of interest to the reader simply because they are based on what the reader is already searching for. This provides some income to them and a service to the users. This is one of the main reasons why you can both monetize and enhance your content pages with Adsense.

The potential income that can be generated is only limited to how much the advertisers are willing to pay, and how many clicks are generated. If the keywords the promoter has selected are in high demand, you could receive more dollars per click. On the other hand, low demand keywords will earn you just a few cents per click. These keywords can be as little as a few cents, to as high as $20 or $30 per click.

How to turn your website into an Adsense Machine

1: Visit Google.com/Adsense and sign up for your free account. Takes about 2 minutes.

2: Once your website has been accepted, you can generate Adsense code. You have the options to create display areas that fit your website. You can pick the colors, size, shape and types of ads being displayed.

3: Add the code to your website pages. You can insert Adsense code into as few or many pages as you wish. You can even add more then one Adsense block per page (up to three), and they can be different shapes, content or colors. Pick the blocks that work for your website. Google also offers ideas as to where to place them for better affects. This can be quite helpful to increase your clicks, and your revenues.

4: Publish your website with your new code added. Once your pages are live, you can start earning revenues from your Adsense blocks.

*Important Note* Google frowns on Click fraud. This is where you click on your own ads in your website in an attempt to earn income. Simple enough, don”t risk it.

5: Check your statistics by logging into your Adsense account. While you”re at it, consider adding the Google Analytics functionality to your website as well. Let the Adsense keep track of your earning and use Analytics to track your website traffic. They both go hand in hand, the more traffic, the more Adsense clicks you have potential for.

One thing you might wish to do is to look at other sites that are running Adsense. You might try to pattern your Adsense blocks in a similar fashion to those sites that are earning successfully. Position, size, and colors are all factors affecting how your website will perform and the amount of money it will give you.

It is a common issue that when a site begins earning money, the tendency is for the owner to try and “grind out” more money then they are already getting. Have some patience. It will usually take some time combined with trial and error to attain what you want for your Adsense contents.

20 Powerful Ways to Boost Your Adsense CTR

By Abhishek Agarwal

Most people think that just by placing the Adsense code onto their website will start earning them big checks! I am not ashamed to admit that even I thought the same when I was new. But I soon realized that if I do not optimize my Ads, it is impossible to achieve a good income from Adsense.

In order to earn big Adsense checks, you have to have a good CTR (Click Through Rate) CTR is the number of clicks an ad receives divided by the number of times the Ads are shown. A high CTR means more people are clicking on your Ads.

In this article I would like to share everything I have learnt to boost my Google Adsense CTR. If you follow these tips, you will see an instant jump in your CTR.

In order to achieve a very high CTR ( 30% + ) it is important that the following points are taken care of :

1. Google should serve Ads relevant to your niche.
2. You should have the right kinds of Ad formats place in the right places
3. Your Ads should be properly formatted

If you take care of all the three points above, you are guaranteed to have a CTR greater than 30%

Have Google serve relevant Ads

We have to ensure that the ads that are being served by Google are closely related with your content. This is very important because if your ads are not relevant your visitors will not click on them. Here are some tips to ensure that Google displays relevant Ads on your site

Mention your niche keyword in your Title Tag
One great way is to mention your main keyword in the Title tag of your page. This will tell Google that your keyword must be in integral part of your content; otherwise you wouldn”t have mentioned it in the title.

Mention your niche keyword several times in the body of your content
Mention your keywords a couple of times in the body of your content. This will tell Google what your page is all about. Please do not go overboard with this. If you put your keywords too many times, Google will think you are trying to spam.

Make your keyword Bold
It also helps to bold your niche keyword, so that it stands out. You can also use H1 tag for highlighting your keyword. Again, by doing this, Google will feel that the keyword is very relevant to your site’’s content

Have descriptive names for your images
If you have images on your page, give relevant names to the image files. For example, if your site is on bicycle, call your images bicycle1. jpg and bicycle2. jpg and not image1. jpg and image2. jpg.

Do not have too much content on your page
This is contrary to what many Gurus feel. Having too much of content on the page has got two disadvantages. Firstly, your keyword density for your main keyword decreases and Google may not understand exactly what your page is all about.

Secondly, if you have too much of content on your page, your visitors will get what they are looking for, and will not be tempted to click on your ads. This will adversely affect our CTR

Use a descriptive file name
This tip is often overlooked by webmasters. But its quite effective. If your page is on bicycles, call your page yourdomain. com/bicycles and not yourdomain. com/ bi

This will again help Google understand what your page is all about and hence it will deliver relevant Ads

Ad Formats and their placement

Google provides dozens of Ad formats that you can use on your site. These ads are of different sizes. Some of them are completely ineffective. But some are really powerful. Once you know what kinds of Ad formats to use, you should take care of placing them at the right places. If they are not placed strategically, they will not be clicked on often enough.

Here are some tips to choose the best kinds of Ad formats and optimum placements

Use Large Rectangle (336 x 280) as your primary Ad format
The Large Rectangle (336×280) works like a charm because it has proven itself to be the best performing format. If you place it “above the fold”, its magic!

Use Wide Skyscraper (160 x 600) on the Left/Right border
The Wide Skyscraper 160 x 600 performs very well on the left or right side of your screen. I prefer putting it on the left side because it gets seen more than the right side..

Do not neglect the Link Unit!
A Link Unit is one of the most under-utilized Ad format. But if used correctly, and in the right position, it can be really profitable format if put in the right place. It is supposed to be placed near your navigation menu. Most people will think it’’s a part of your navigation menu and automatically read it. And if the ads being served are very relevant to your niche, they will click on it!

Try using a Link Unit format that has 4 keywords in them. This is because the size of the ad text would be slightly bigger, and look more like a navigational menu. Also make sure to make the border color blend with your website’’s background

Hey, we also have Search Boxes : Don”t forget that Google also provides us Search boxes that we can put on our site. Do not put them above the fold. But them in a less prominent place further down the page. Bottom of the page or somewhere on the left side below the fold is perfect.
Do not expect much money from Search boxes, but anything that comes in extra counts!

Avoid Image Ads
Google also has an option whereby you can select image ads to be displayed instead of your text ads. Try to avoid this because people are more responsive to text than images.

Have your Ads above the fold
This is one of the most important tip to increase your CTR. The term “above the fold”, comes from newspapers. Any news above the fold on the front page of a newspaper will be read more than any other part of the newspaper. The same rule applies to AdSense too.

Here, “above the fold” means the top position of your screen that is visible without the user having to scroll down. So if you place your Ads “above the fold”, it will be visible to everyone, and they won”t have to scroll down. Your Ads are therefore more likely to get clicked. Also, the area above the fold loads before the rest of the page. So this is by far the best location for Adsense Ad placement.

Try not to have any other links “above the fold”
This may not always be possible. But if you can, remove all links that are “above the fold”. The only links displayed should be your Adsense Ads. By having any other link, you are giving your visitors the option of clicking on them. This will decrease your CTR. If you do not have any other links, your visitors will sub-consciously be forced to click on your Adsense Ads. This will shoot up your CTR.

Do not neglect the bottom of your page!
If you have followed the above points, you will find that most people click on the Ads above the fold. But there will be some who will go down the page. And when they reach the end, they normally think “what next” To help them, we should have an Adsense Ad to bid them farewell!! By placing an Adsense ad at the end of the page they will often click it!

Formatting Your Ads

We have all got something called “Ad-blindness”. That means we have been sub-consciously conditioned to ignore Ads. Most of the time we completely ignore banners on web pages. We run away from anything that remotely resembles and Ad!

The same is with Adsense. If we want to make our Ads noticed, we have to make sure that they do not look like Advertisements. We have to format our Ads so that they seem to be a part of our content. Once your Ad blends with your page and your content, you will see amazing CTRs.

Here are some tips to properly format your Ads so that they don”t look like Ads.

Make the background of your Ad the same as the background of your page
If the background of your web page is white, make sure the background of your Ad is white too. Our main aim is to make the Ad not look like an Ad. If they look like an Ad, they will not be clicked upon. No one wants to click on Advertisements, right? We want our Ad to look as if it’’s a part of our content. So make sure the background of your Ad is the same as that of your page. This will do wonders for your CTR.

Remove the border of your Ad
Again, this follows the same principle as above. If you put a border around your Ad, they will look like Ads. They will scream aloud, “This is an ad!” And this will kill your CTR.

If you remove the border, they will blend with your content.

You might think this is something trivial but many people report a massive increase in their CTR, just by removing their border. So let the border go by having a similar color as your background

Provide ample free space around your Ads.
Do not make your Ads look cluttered. Have enough free space around them to make them look neat. And if you have blended it well, your CTR would see an instant jump.

Remove additional titles like “Sponsored Links” or “Advertisements”
Google allows you to mention titles like “Sponsored Links” or “Advertisements” above your Adsense ads. I suggest you do not mention anything like this at all. Why would you want to tell your visitor that they are Ads when Google already displays “Ads by Gooooogle”

Change the Link color to Blue.
This has proven to have a positive impact on my CTR. This is because the color Blue symbolizes a link. We have got used to seeing links in blue. So if your Ads have a clickable blue link, they are more likely to get clicked.

Make the color of your URL and the color of your Ad’’s text the same
This again, is often overlooked. If the color of your Ad text is the same as the color of your Ad URL, it will make the URL blend, or melt, thereby making your blue link more visible. This will make your Ads more clickable!

If you follow the above points, you can be assured to achieve CTRs that most people only dream of. Achieving a CTR of 30%-40% would be normal!

My Adsense Account Has Been Terminated. Yours Too?

By Tom Williamsen

Google, being the undisputable leader in search engines from then until now, is placing a high importance on the quality and relevancy of its search engines. Most especially now that the company is public property. In order to keep the shareholders and users of its engines happy, the quality of the returned results are given extreme importance.

For this same reason, doing the wrong things in the Adsense and other forms of advertisements, whether intentionally or unintentionally, will result in a severe penalty, may get you banned and even have your account terminated. Nothing like a good action taken to keep wrongdoers from doing the same things over again.

So for those who are thinking of getting a career in Adsense, do not just think of the strategies you will be using to generate more earnings. Consider some things first before you actually get involved.

Hidden texts:

Filling your advertisement page with texts to small to read, has the same color as the background and using css for the sole purpose of loading them with rich keywords content and copy will earn you a penalty award that is given to those who are hiding links.

Page cloaking:

There is a common practice of using browser or bot sniffers to serve the bots of a different page other than the page your visitors will see. Loading a page with a bot that a human user will never see is a definite no-no. This is tricking them to click on something that you want but they may not want to go to.

Multiple submissions:

Submitting multiple copies of your domain and pages is another thing to stay away from. For example, trying to submit a URL of an Adsense as two separate URLs is the same as inviting trouble and even termination. Likewise, this is a reason to avoid auto submitters for those who are receiving submissions. Better check first if your domain is submitted already an a certain search engine before you try to submit to it again. If you see it there, then move on. No point contemplating whether to try and submit there again.

Link farms:

Be wary of who and what are you linking your Adsense to. The search engines know that you cannot control your links in. But you can certainly control what you link to. Link farming has always been a rotten apple in the eyes of search engines, especially Google. That is reason enough to try and avoid them. Having a link higher than 100 on a single page will classify you as a link farm so try and not to make them higher than that.

Page rank for sale:

If you have been online for quite some time, you will notice that there are some sites selling their PR links or trading them with other sites. If you are doing this, expect a ban anytime in the future. It is okay to sell ads or gain the link. But doing it on direct advertisement of your page rank is a way to get on search engines bad side.

Doorways:

This is similar to cloaking pages. The common practice of a page loaded with choice keyword ads aimed at redirecting visitors to another user-friendly page is a big issue among search engines. There are many seo firms offering this kind of services. Now that you know what they actually are, try to avoid them at all costs.

Multiple domains having the same content:

In case you are not aware of it, search engines look at domains IPs, registry dates and many others. Having multiple domains having the same exact content is not something you can hide from them. The same goes with content multiplied many times on separate pages, sub domains and forwarding multiple domains to the same content.

Many of the above techniques apply to most search engines and is not entirely for Google only. By having a mind set that you are building your Adsense together with your pages for the human users and not for bots, you can be assured of the great things for your ads and sites.

Not to mention avoiding the wrath of the search engines and getting your Adsense and site account terminated altogether.

How to Create Passive Income Without Selling

By Cliff Posey

Many people are interested in finding high income business opportunities through a legitimate home based business. At the same time, most people don”t like to sell.

This creates quite a quandary. However, there is a way to achieve your business dreams without selling. It’’s called Google Adsense.

Google Adsense can help you to create passive income without actively selling a product or service. If you are unfamiliar with the concept, Adsense is a program from Google that can be used to generate advertising revenue. All you have to do is place Adsense on your website or blog. No selling involved, hence the term, passive income.

Adsense is a legitimate home based business that can provide you with solid, yet passive income. What makes Google Adsense better than most high income business opportunities is the lack of work that is involved. Most of the work that you will have to do is done during the initial set-up. After that, you can make money while you are employed at another job, spend time with your family, or go on vacation.

Let’’s face it; there are not many legitimate home based business opportunities that allow you to do that!

Adding Adsense to Your Website
When incorporating Adsense into your website, you have many different options as to where you want to put the ads, which look sort of like menu system links. By placing the links above, below, or in your own menu, you can get plenty of clicks from people who are browsing your site. You can also use the leader board method and place the links straight across the top of your web pages.

A third option is called the skyscraper method and that involves placing the Adsense links straight down the left side of your template. The final option leaves you placing square and rectangular Adsense units directly in with your content. You can places ads above, below, or within your site text.

The more links you have, the more opportunity you have to make money with this legitimate business opportunity. Some people make five or six figures every year. Google even allows you to track the number of visitors that you have on your site. If you have multiple websites, you can see which one does the best and which one does the worst. This will allow you to decide how you are going to split up your time between your multiple sites.

Sound simple? It is. This is what makes Adsense one of the best high income business opportunities around. There is little work involved and the ability to earn a passive income without ever having to actively sell anything. All you have to do is run and promote your website like you normally would. Of course, the more traffic you have, the better the chances are that somebody will click on the Adsense ads and put money in your pocket. Keep this in mind as you start building passive income with your Adsense campaigns.

The Competition Myth Debunked!

By Kevin Sinclair

Today, there is a HUGE lie circulating on the Internet. It has nothing to do a celebrity marriage or political scandal. This lie has to do with … Internet Marketing!

To be specific, many ”gurus” are claiming that certain niches have too much competition. It is their belief that certain keywords and entire niches has become over saturated with competing websites.

Their proof is a simple ”Google” search for the keyword or phrase in question. For example, at the time of this article, the keyword ”Insurance” shows 455 million other websites listed. The keyword ”Auto Insurance” has 84 million sites listed.

So, was is there so much competition of this niche? Why are so many webmaster creating pages in this market? That’’s simple: MONEY!

If you”re an AdSense publisher, you should know that advertisers are paying more than $40 per click in the Auto Insurance market.

If you”re an Insurance agent, you know that if someone becomes your customer, you can make hundreds a year off of their policy.

If you”re a publisher, you should know that people use the Internet for research before making most purchase … including Auto Insurance.

There is a ton of money exchanging hands in this Market.

So, for ”the new kid on the block” (i.e. YOU), There’’s no sense of even trying to compete with 200 million other websites. After all, in the minds of consumers, would “200 million-and-1″ sites really make a difference?

Obvious, if we stopped here, we might tend to agree with the gurus. ”There’’s just too much competition in the Insurance niche to compete.” ”There’’s too much competition in the mesothelioma niche to compete!” There’’s too much competition in almost every market … to compete!

The problem is that they are misreading the data! And, this mistake may be costing hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars each month in lost revenue.

Go to your computer and ”Google” the keyword Insurance (without quotes or brackets). Write down the number of websites returned. As I said earlier, at the time of this article there are 455 million web pages listed for this keyword.

Now, the fun begins! Look just to the right of the Google search box. You should see the word ”Preferences”. Click on it. A new screen will appear. This screen allow you to change the way Google finds and displays your searches. Scroll down to the bottom of this page, and look for the words ”Number Of Results.” This tells Google how many websites to display on your page at a time. Most likely this number is set on 10. That means that when you do a search for Insurance, Google will display 10 results per page.

Next to this number is a drop down arrow. Click this arrow and change it to 100. Now, 100 websites will be displayed at a time. After this change is made, be sure to click ”Save Preferences” in the lower right hand corner.

When you click ”Save Preferences” click ”OK” and you”ll be taken back to your search screen.

Now, scroll down to the very bottom of this page. you”ll see the Google logo. Under this logo, you”ll see the numbers 1 thru 10. Click on ”10” This will take you to the 10th page of your search. And, since there are 100 results on each page, you”re going to the 1,000th search result. (Maybe! More on that later!!)

OK. I just click on the number 10, and guess what. My screen is only displaying results 900-933…not 900-1000. Why?

Read the message Google included with your search. Mine reads, ”In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 933 already displayed.”

What does this mean? In Google’’s estimation, only 933 websites in the Insurance niche have content that is relevant enough to display to their customer. 933 web pages out of 455 million! The remaining 454,999,067 websites were either irrelevant or duplicate content.

933 websites … worldwide … are consider relevant for an high traffic, high paying keyword like ”Insurance!”

So, if you were competing with 455 million websites, I would say there is too much competition in that particular niche. But, when only 933 web pages contain relevant content… I would conclude that this niche is ”ripe” for the taking.

And remember, advertisers are willing to pay you $30-$40 per click!

So, the next time a guru tells you that a market is over saturated, or that there’’s too much competition, maybe you should examine their motives. Maybe they don”t want YOU there, because they don”t want YOU to become website number 934!

Stop listen to the lies of the so-called gurus. There is money to be made in almost every market. IF, and only IF you supply relevant, non-duplicate content!
